Welcome to Hoofnotes!
I live the interesting life of being in a relationship with a person who is really into horse sports. There are some amazing stories from the intersection of horse interests and the real world. In part, I'll be sharing the craziness that is our life tips on how to date/live with someone who might just love their horse more than they do any human being in his/her life.
This is my first blog, so I guess I should give a little bit of pedigree. I have been a high school teacher most of my life with a degree in English. I rode horses from the age of 12 to 16. I have volunteered at numerous eventing shows (up to FEI 3 star) and ACTHA rides in the Georgia area. My girlfriend has been riding since she was a pre-teen and is an eventer, ACTHA rider, and horse owner.
I may change names of people in this blog to keep unsavory type things from encroaching on my friends, so I'm not throwing anyone else's name into this yet. I'm Phillip, and from this point forward, I'll be sharing the serious, sometimes funny, sometimes serious, and never dull experiences of living with a horsewoman!
